Edgewater stretches along River Road between the Palisades and the Hudson. Most of the housing is in mid- and high-rise buildings with river views, and much of daily life runs along that one road.
Getting around
- NY Waterway ferry landing at 989 River Road, with weekday commuter-hour service to West 39th Street and to downtown Manhattan via Port Imperial (no public parking at the landing)
- A free weekday borough shuttle for residents
- NJ Transit bus 158 to the Port Authority Bus Terminal
- George Washington Bridge and Lincoln Tunnel within a short drive
The housing stock

Parks and downtown
River Road is the main corridor, with shopping centers, restaurants and supermarkets. Sections of the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway run behind many of the buildings, with Manhattan views the whole way.
Schools

Read the condo budget and reserves, and ask about any planned special assessments. Check the flood zone for waterfront buildings. And if you plan to take the ferry, confirm the schedule against your hours, because service is concentrated at commuter times.
